Small town charm...

Last Sunday I ventured out to Carrolton, GA in the ole' Guzzler (scroll down to the last pic) for a job. Big thanks for Zack for letting me borrow it for the day. About an hour west of Atlanta is a sleepy little town that has quite a nice feel to it. Growing up in small town Oklahoma, I'm quickly reminded of my childhood with the mom and pop stores, the city square and, well heck, even the smell was familiar in a way. I even had a cordial gentleman greet me with a smile and a "how are ya?!" from his truck while at a red light as I was walking by. Sure haven't experienced that in a while...

My client was Douglas Wright, a musician that hails from this quiet little section of Georgia. Doug hit me up for some new pictures for a new album he's working on that I'm sure will be posted here when its all said and done. Why did I meet him in Carrolton you ask?? Oh just because he didn't want to drive his sweet ride of a Cougar through Sunday traffic in Atlanta... and I totally can't blame him. Look at this thing! Its a beautiful car!

I think I should brave Georgia small towns more often...

All these pictures are great, but I especially like the first and last ones. Any commission of this type has to think about advertising first in order to sell a project. Only rarely does a photographer manage to make something art as well, but you have.

Erik, awesome! I'm glad to see you're out on your own now. I was just talking to you on FB, but again, if you're ever in the Cincinnati area, don't hesitate to drop me a line man. I'm always available to hang out, or share my studio if you need. Jason
